LONDON Irish wing sensation Ben Loader has reflected on the 'great week' he enjoyed in the build-up to his England debut against the Barbarians on Sunday.

The former Leighton Park student – who scored 13 tries in 18 appearances for Exiles last season – came off the bench in the 66th minute to help his side win 51-43 in an entertaining clash at Twickenham.

And looking back on the week, he commented: "It was great, being in new places and meeting new faces. It was interesting to understand each other’s styles of play and gelling together as a team. We worked out how we are going to play so it was exciting.

“It really was a dream. For so many of us, it’s the goal. Now I want to kick-on from this when I return to Irish and in my own personal development."

Having played a key part in Irish's return to the Gallagher Premiership, he reflected on his impressive campaign, stating: “I loved getting stuck in this season and hopefully I can carry my form on.

“Next season is massive for the club as we prepare for life back in the Premiership.

“There will be some new faces around and hopefully we can maintain our form from the end of last season.”
