ASCOT Racecourse will host The Prince’s Countryside Fund Raceday on Sunday.

Free for children under 18-years-old, the event boasts a full day of exciting jump racing alongside a range of countryside-inspired activities.

The course will be split into different zones, showing children where their food comes from, how traditional crafts and skills are still used today and the overall importance of the countryside to people’s everyday lives.

The Demo Area will host the unique Campaign for Wool Lamb National, the Quack Pack, falconry displays, ferret shows and Morris Dancing, while the Farming Zone gives children a chance to pet animals. The Berkshire Bee Keepers Association will also be in attendance to show people what they do.

The Village Green section features face painting, climbing walls, live music, appearances from Peter Rabbit and much more.

In the Rural Skills area, punters can join head gardener Jeremy Lockwood in planting bulbs, try dry stone walling, and there will be a series of workshops for children to create crowns and wands.

Other activities include pony riding.

Gates open at 10.45am with the first race at 2pm and the last at 5.15pm.

Grandstand tickets cost £27 or £23 in advance, with Premier tickets priced at £32 or £30.
