Emergency services rushed to Slough High Street early this morning after reports of an injured man.

Local businesses reported seeing police and ambulances arriving on the scene.

Forensics are currently on the scene taking samples and photographs.

A trail of blood has been marked out in chalk, around belongings which are strewn across the pavement.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed they were sent to the scene at 4:40am this morning (April 26).

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “We received a report of an assault with injury at around 4.40am this morning in High Street, Slough. 

“The victim, a man in his forties, suffered a stab wound, and was taken to hospital but has since been discharged."

A scene watch is currently in place, with two officers manning the cordon while forensics continue their work.

Five men have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 GBH with intent and they remain in police custody at this time. 

The police spokesperson added: “If anyone has any information, please contact the force on 101 or by making a report online quoting investigation reference number 43240191279.”
