THE new Home Counties Premier Cricket League season gets under way with round one of the Twenty20 competition this Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

Slough

won the competition in 2018 but have seen a major overhaul on and off the field over the winter with a new Chairman, Sharath Jetty, and first team captain, Goutham Shrikrishna.

The Upton Court Park-based side travel to Berkshire rivals and lower-league Wokingham (10.30am), before Rizwan Nadeem leads out his

Burnham

team for the match against Finchampstead (1.30pm).

Datchet take on Henley, who won the competition in 2009, 2014 and 2017, at Aston Rowant (1.30pm).

Slough finished as runners-up to Henley in Division One last season and get the new campaign under way with a visit to Upton Court Park from Buckingham Town, who won Division Two last summer, on Saturday 11th May (11.30am).

Datchet were promoted along with Buckingham last season and head to Finchampstead, while in Division Two, Burnham make the trip to Thame Town and Cookham Dean head to Wokingham.

The new Thames Valley League gets under way on Saturday 11th May with Stoke Green, fourth in Division One last summer, heading to High Wycombe 2s, who won Division 2b in the previous campaign.

North Maidenhead welcome Wargrave, who were promoted with High Wycombe last season, to Summerleaze, while Slough 2s make the journey to Gerrards Cross.

Boyne Hill begin with a home game against Division 2a champions of last season, Hayes.

Windsor will bid to improve on their seventh place finish last season in Division 2a and begin with a trip to Eversley whilst Maidenhead & Bray are at home to Kew.

Farnham Royal finished fourth in Division 3a last summer and get the new campaign under way with a trip to Binfield, who won Division 4a last year.

Boyne Hill 2s and Slough 3s were both promoted last season despite only finishing third in Division 4a and 4b respectively.

Boyne Hill 2s travel to Finchampstead 3s and Slough 3s head to Sulhamstead & Ufton.
