THAMES Valley Police have attended a multi-vehicle crash on the A322 on Friday evening.

The police closed Winsdor Road down from the Peanut Roundabout towards Ascot, which has now reopened.

A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said: "We received a 999 call at 18:08 with the caller reporting a three car collision on the Windsor Road near Winkfield.

"There were five people involved but only one had sustained facial injuries and was taken to Frimley Park Hospital.

"We sent one ambulance and a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle to the scene."

A driver of a vehicle was breathalysed at the scene and was found to be over the limit and police are believed to have made an arrest.

Thames Valley Police have recently launched a campaign against drink and drug driving called Operation Holly. The campaign saw 666 people arrested between the start of December and the New Year.
