FOOTBALL stars took a break from their busy winter schedule to visit children at Royal Berkshire Hospital.

A group of Reading FC players journeyed to the Children's Ward to deliver presents and put smiles on their young faces.

Defenders Liam Moore, Jordan Obita, Paul McShane and John O'Shea were joined by Garath McCleary and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson for the outing.

They spent time with the football fans and their parents, as well as getting involved in games.

Moore said: "It is very important for the players to get out and to do whatever they can to make the fans feel part of the club."
