A SCHOOL play that commemorates the First World War has received a high amount of praise.
The Licensed Victuallers' School (LVS) in Ascot have received excellent reviews for their historic play called ‘All Our Children’.
It was written by head of Drama Georgina Windsor and included music composed by Jamie Kedwards, a student in year 11.
The play is the first production created entirely by people in the school and was written to remember the end of the First World War.
It follows three orphaned brothers who arrive at the school during the War and tells the story of their experience.
Parent Nicky Yates said: “It was an incredible production from start to finish.
"You wouldn’t have known it was written for a school, or performed by a school unless it was a drama school.”
The production was shown for three nights to an audience of 200 people in the LVS Ascot’s professional theatre.
Georgina Windsor said: “I’m overwhelmed by the students, and so proud of them all from those in the ensemble and crew to the lead roles.
"We aim to inspire students at LVS Ascot to exceed their expectations, and with this show they have exceeded everybody’s expectations.”
