Winter sunlight may have been responsible for a bedroom fire that firefighters battled in Maidenhead yesterday.
They were called at 10am and had to break into the house in Altwood Bailey after a neighbour spotted smoke and called 999.
Teams from Maidenhead, Langley and Beaconsfield were there an hour and a half and managed to contain the fire within the bedroom although there was first floor smoke damage.
A spokesman said it was believed sunshine reflecting in a mirror was responsible for the fire.
