EMERGENCY crews battled for several hours after flooding was reported at a property in the town centre.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at around 7.30am on Sunday and attended the incident on Greyfriars Road.
Crews from Wokingham Road were sent, alongside the Operational Support Unit from Whitley Wood Fire Station.
A fire service spokesman said: "Upon arrival, the crew found a heating pipe leaking so crews isolated the water and worked to remove the floodwater.
"Firefighters were on the scene for around four hours."
