Stars of film and television will be taking time off from the cameras to join the best golfers in the world for a day of unscripted competition at Wentworth Club on Wednesday, May 23 for the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am.

Damian Lewis, who played Bobby Axelrod in the hit series Billions and Henry VIII in Wolf Hall, returns to the West Course at the famous Virginia Water golf club after his third place finish in last year’s event.

The actor who has also received international acclaim for his roles in Homeland and Band of Brothers last year joined 2016 BMW PGA Champion Chris Wood, as well as rowing legends Sir Matthew Pinsent and Sir Steve Redgrave to finish with an impressive team score of 24 under par.

Making his debut in the event this year will be Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan.

Adding to the cast of characters at Wentworth is Matthew Goode, who starred in The Good Wife and Anthony Armstrong-Jones from the hit Netflix series The Crown.

Returning to the Celebrity Pro-Am will be Mission: Impossible II, Enigma and The Woman in White star Dougray Scott. Last year, Scott joined 2016 Open Champion Henrik Stenson, tennis icon Greg Rusedski and Scottish rugby legend Gavin Hastings, as the team finished in second place on 26 under par. Several other film and television stars, including professional footballer-turned-actor Vinnie Jones of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch fame, as well as Skins actor, Luke Pasqualino will also be taking part in the event.
