Four piece indie band Peerless Pirates kick off an autumn of live music at Norden Farm on Saturday, September 12.
Peerless Pirates hail from Oxford, and regularly gig around the local area as well as in London. They formed five years ago, and have performed at Glastonbury festival, on BBC Introducing and on various radio stations. To date they have released two EPs.
Their sound is a rollicking, roustabout mix of classic 80s energetic indie, sea shanties, rockabilly and surf-rock. They hark back to the fund sounds of indie.
The line-up features Cliff Adams (vocals and guitar), Kyle Mundy (guitar), Stu Green (bass and vocals) and Barry Short (drums, vocals).
Peerless Pirates have received critical acclaim for their raucous live shows, and will be blowing away the autumn leaves in Norden Farm’s Courtyard Theatre.
Their set list includes Elvis Presley’s Devil in Disguise, Drunken Sailor, the theme from The Munsters and traditional folk ballad The Raggle Taggle Gypsy.
The band will be supported by Into The Autumn, a two piece from Berkshire featuring singer/songwriters Damian Carruthers and Danielle Moubarak.
Join them at Norden Farm on Saturday at 8pm for an evening of rock and roll shenanigans and great music live on stage.
Tickets are available from the Box Office on 01628 788997 or online at www.nordenfarm.org or https://norden.farm/events/peerless-pirates
