First performed in the 1970s, it was hardly surprising that the plot of Dave Freeman's farce frequently echoed the humour of those days, yet have we really become more sophisticated? After watching the show I decided that I haven't. Give me this sort of entertainment instead of much of the so-called humour that is currently on offer.

Take a grotty over-booked hotel on the edge of the French/German border, throw in a hall porter from Lapland/Romania/Mexico, a flamboyant hotel manager and five guests booked into the same suite and you'll get an idea of the sort of fare presented by the energetic cast.

I loved this fast-moving production and if you too like improbable situations and way-over-the-top gags, then this is the ideal show for your festive season.
