Halloween Neville Staple
Best known as a singer and composer of The Specials, Neville Staple AKA “The Original Rude Boy”, will be performing this Halloween on Sunday, October 31, at Sub 89 in Reading, writes Hannah Smithson.
Neville returns from a recent tour of America with his own incredibly tight band to perform a mix of old favourites plus loads of brand new solo material.
Jamaican born and Coventry based Neville, started as a roadie for the then Coventry Automatics but took to the stage at a gig supporting The Clash, where Neville then began to toast their manager “Bernie Rhodes knows. Don’t Argue” at the beginning of The Specials hit single Gangsters.
Supporting special guests include Scary Rude Club DJs. Be afraid, be very afraid.
Doors open at 7pm with tickets available in advance for £13 by calling 08444771000 or online at www.sub89.com
