Getting To Reading Festival

THE festival is held each year at Richfield Avenue, Reading, and getting there can be the hardest part of the whole experience.
A word of warning - do not attempt to drop off or pick up anywhere near Richfield Avenue!
There is a pick up/drop off point at Kings Meadow, which is sign posted by the AA. From there you can get the free shuttle boat service to the site.
There is also a taxi hire drop off/pick up on Tessa Road (see map).
Weekend tickets for the car park will cost £5 in advance and £10 on the gate. For those planning to park at the festival the Garrard Street NCP car park, opposite Reading Train Station, is available for weekend parking with a shuttle bus that leaves from outside the train station.
This year festival organisers are asking people to consider their carbon footprint by taking public transport wherever possible.
One of the easiest ways to get to the festival is by coach. See and National Express are offering pick up by coach from the Rivermead Centre, Richfield Avenue by Red Gate (see map).
