LAUGHTER really is the best cure to all aches and pains as Dr Phil Hammond aims to prove in his performance at the Corn Exchange, Newbury tonight, (Thursday).

The doctor is returning with his new show, Dr Phil's Rude Health Show, which promises to be a medical dose of hilarity, rudeness and irreverence where all your medical questions can be answered.

Dr Phil said: "Someone threw me a urine sample. I had my kit with me and I tested it on stage and gave them some anti-biotics and off they went. You don't often get this from a comedy gig."

Dr Phil has been performing to the public for 20 years since his appearance at the Edinburgh Festival in 1990 and has even appeared on hit shows like Have I Got News For You.

Dr Phil, who says he started doing comedy as a coping mechanism, said: "It was rare that doctors talked about what they were going through."

The show is for everyone with even the slightest interest in medicine and for those who don't want to wait weeks for an appointment with their GP!

The show starts at 7.45pm and tickets cost £12. Dr Phil will also be performing in South Street, Reading, on Wednesday, October 6.
