BRACKNELL Town have turned to former Binfield duo Steve McClurg and Richard Whitty in a bid to revive their fortunes.
The pair left Hellenic League Premier Division outfit just last week and will now take over at Larges Lane.
The Robins have been relegated from Zamaretto League Division One South and West after a disastrous campaign.
David Tuttle, who worked with makeshift squad and a small budget, was relieved of his duties at the end of the season.
Now McClurg, a former Bracknell Town player and boss, hopes to transform the club's fortunes and rebuild the squad alongside Whitty.
A statement on the Bracknell Town website read: "The Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Steve McClurg and Richard Whitty as joint first team managers.
"Upon us recently hearing that Steve was to step down as manager at neighbours Binfield, we were delighted that, following full and frank discussions, Steve accepted our call to become our new manager and shares our views on how the club is to be taken forward following the disappointments of last season.
"We were equally delighted that Richard joins us and, along with Steve who many will know successfully steered Binfield from Step 6 to a solid mid-table position at step 5 last season, provide us with a level of pedigree having both served this Club so well in seasons past as both players and managers."
Bracknell will not know which league they will be playing in next season for another few weeks, the likelihood is a drop into the Hellenic League and a possible derby with Binfield,
The statement continued: "We shall not know which league we shall be placed into until the FA's League Sanctions Committee have met in a couple of weeks time or so,
"We have, nonetheless, expressed our preference to be placed into the Hellenic League to both the FA and that league that many will know will provide us with some mouth-watering local derbies against Binfield, Ascot United, Wokingham & Emmbrook and Reading Town."
The club added McClurg and Whitty were chosen from an "impressive number" of applications from "good quality candidates,"
"All that remains is for us to welcome Steve and Richard on board and to wish them every success as our new football management team," ended the statement.
Meanwhile, Moles chairman Rob Jones commented: "I would like to wish the guys the very best of luck at The Robins.
"Both of them have history at Larges Lane and I can understand their interest in what will be a new challenge.
"I really hope they didn't feel pushed out at Binfield after Mark Tallentire was promoted to Manager for next season but I'm sure that's not the case.
"They are not sure which league Bracknell Town will be playing in next year but I hope they move to the Hellenic because it will create some great derby days."
