LONDON Irish have completed a double signing with Matt Rogerson and American international Bryce Campbell joining the club.

Back row Rogerson, 24, has signed from Jersey, while another new face at Irish is Campbell.

Capped 15 times by his country, the 23-year-old switches from Colorado-based Glendale Raptors.

He commented: “I can’t wait to make the move to England and join up with my new teammates for pre-season.”

“I’m grateful for having the opportunity to play for London Irish and I’m looking forward to the challenge of helping the club achieve its target of promotion back to the Premiership next season.”

The two new signings join fly half Stephen Myler, the Premiership's third-highest ever points scorer, Barney Maddison and Tom Stephenson in committing to the club.

However, the club have announced the departure of 18 players including young wing Joe Cokanasiga to Bath, Saracens-bound speedster Alex Lewington, academy graduate Johnny Williams to Newcastle Falcons and double World Cup-winning prop Ben Franks to Northampton Saints.

  • LONDON Irish will play a pre-season friendly against Premiership side Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on Friday, August 24.

The club will reveal their other pre-season games in due course.
