LONDON Irish have made six changes to the side which edged to a one-point victory at Ealing Trailfinders as they target a 14th consecutive Greene King IPA Championship victory at home to Nottingham on Sunday (3pm).

Club captain Luke Narraway returns at openside flanker in place of Scottish international Blair Cowan, while Harry Elrington and Will Lloyd are also brought into the pack in the front and second row respectively.

Scott Steele replaces Brendan McKibbin at scrum half, while Academy graduate Johnny Williams starts at inside centre instead of Fergus Mulchrone, who shifts along the back line to dislodge Ciaran Hearn. Greig Tonks gets the nod at full back in place of the league’s top points scorer, Tommy Bell.

Director of Rugby Nick Kennedy is looking for an improved display from the narrow Ealing success and said: “We’ve worked on a few things in training throughout the week and I’m looking forward to the game.

“Nottingham will be keen to bounce back from last week’s defeat and will undoubtedly be a stern test for us – theym are only one win away from breaking into the top four.

“We are well aware of the dangers posed by them having experienced a tough game at their place earlier in the season. They play a very good brand of attacking rugby and we will have to be right on top of our game in order to get the result that we want.”
