Prolific due Ian and Carl Davies hope to cause an upset in Saturday's clash against Margate.

THE spotlight will be on Binfield this weekend as they take on Margate in the FA Cup first qualifying round at Hill Farm Lane.

The Moles are the only representatives from the area still in the competition as they host their Ryman Isthmian Premier Division opponents at 3pm on Saturday.

Hopes of an upset are high as the Moles have won all six of their home games this season, including their fine 5-1 win over Camberley Town in the previous round.

Binfield’s striking partnership of Ian and Carl Davies, pictured, have been scoring freely and Ian has already notched five goals in two FA Cup appearances.

Binfield manager Mark Tallentire said: “These type of games conjure up all sorts of images from past FA Cup history and we will be hoping that we can play above our station on the day, as we have absolutely nothing to lose, whereas Margate will have the weight of expectation on their shoulders.

“As we’re the only team in the area still left in the Cup, the spotlight has been placed firmly on our doorstep.”

The Moles welcome captain Garry Callaway back into the squad, along with full back James Partridge, after both missed Monday’s win over Thame United.

The impressive 2-0 victory over the Oxfordshire side moved Tallentire’s in-form men up to second in the table.

James Suarez and Carl Davies got the all-important goals for the Moles, both of which came in the second-half.
