Bobby Langridge (left) joins coaching staff, Neil White (right), former Finch stalwart

BRACKNELL Town have bolstered their backroom staff by drafting in former Finchampstead boss Bobby Langridge.

Langridge is one of three new coaches recruited by boss Steve McClurg in the past week along with brothers Colin and Kevin Arnett.

Colin Arnett has spent a number of seasons with Chobham as coach and first-team assistant manager, while Kevin was previously in charge of Finch reserves and also worked at Binfield.

The three will provide McClurg and assistant Richard Whitty with some crucial support as they attempt to bounce back from their relegation from the Southern League.

But it is confirmation of Langridge's arrival which should get Bracknell fans talking as the club search for stability in Hellenic League Premier Division next season.

McClurg told the News: "Everyone knows we're trying to build a strong base here at Bracknell and I now believe we have the people on board who can help us achieve that.

"Myself and Richard chatted with them and they all show a lot of interest in Bracknell which I liked.

"Colin and Kevin are both good coaches and Bobby is well known around these parts and he did a terrific job at Finchampstead. We're delighted to have them on board."

Langridge became part of a hugely popular double act at Finch alongside the long-serving Neil White.

But when White stepped down at the end of last season following 20 years at the club, Langridge also followed.

"I think we'll make a good team," insisted McClurg. "We know each other and we like working together, it's all about teamwork.

"Bobby is obviously very experienced and to have him here is a big bonus."

The contacts Langridge plus the Arnett brothers bring will almost certainly help Bracknell rebuild their team, as McClurg continues to search for new players.

"We're making calls but I don't expect much to happen for a while.

"All I'll say is that if anyone out there who thinks they are good enough to play for Bracknell they are very welcome here."
