DAVE Tuttle has expressed a strong desire to stay on as Bracknell Town manager next season.
The 38-year-old has told the Robins board of directors he wants to remain in charge and begin the tough rebuilding process.
Bracknell have already been relegated from the Southern League having won just two of their 36 league games.
They will begin next season in the Hellenic Premier League and it appears Tuttle has vowed to fight on.
Town chairman Tony Hardy told the News: "Dave Tuttle has committed himself to us for the remainder of the season which is encouraging.
"Dave and his management team have also expressed an interest in taking the club forward next season and that is something the board of directors need to consider.
"We have put together a recruitment strategy and it's important we make the right decision for the future of Bracknell."
Hardy revealed that around six candidates have thrown their names into the hat so far with the likes of Dave Mudge, Carl Taylor and Neil Baker possibly among them.
But Hardy insists the club will take its time in making an appointment.
"We've had interest from at least half a dozen managers," he explained. "There are all the usual names from local football and one or two others.
"But we won't be rushed into anything, we will look closely at every application and make our decision at the end of the season."
Tuttle took control in the most difficult of circumstances after the previous boss Kerthney Carty quit just two games into the season.
Tuttle, the former Tottenham, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Millwall defender has been operating under tight financial restrictions as the club attempt to balance the books.
And Hardy declared: "The long term health and viability of Bracknell are most important of all. We won't spend money we don't have."

Who would want this job - with no budget (apparently) next season and a shoddy pitch there are plenty of local clubs with more going for them! Ascot, Binfield, Sandhurst etc...
Oh and Phil hows things!

The financial situation was made very clear from the start of the season no one can complain about that at the end of the day the existing management had a number of new players but ended up with almost a youth team
