WOKINGHAM & Emmbrook were forced to settle for a draw with Henley Town for the second time in 10 days in Hellenic One (East) on Tuesday.
Ben Rice got his second goal in two games to put the Satsumas ahead midway through the first period, before Brett Rann levelled for Henley in the dying stages of the half.
Wokingham were the better side after the break, but despite Rice, Richard Bland and Shane Cooper-Clark all going close they could not find a way through.
The 1-1 draw keeps Wayne Wanklyn's side in second place in the table and the boss admitted: "It was a bit of a sweet and sour game.
"We were awful in the first half but really improved after the break and showed what we a really capable of.
"The important thing is we are putting in poor performances but not getting beaten, so we are still right up there."
The Satsumas had showed off their strength in depth on Saturday as a much-changed side advanced to the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup.
The Satsumas hit back after going a goal down to North Berks Division One side Faringdon Town to run out 3-1 winners and set up a clash with Bucks CC in the last four.
Wanklyn, pictured, made six changes to the side that fought out a 2-2 draw with Henley Town in Hellenic Division One (East) the previous weekend.
And his fringe players proved their quality as debutant Michael Davies, Ben Rice and substitute Shane Cooper-Clark found the net to seal their side's progress.
Wanklyn enthused: "We made a few changes because I thought one or two needed a rest with some of the big games we have got coming up.
"And I was very pleased with the performances and attitude that I saw.
"Mick Davies has scored 22 goals this season for our A side in the Reading League, which is an excellent tally.
"I was keen to see him play at a higher level, and I thought he did very well and even got himself a goal, which was encouraging to see."
In other news Wokingham have announced they will be playing five of their remaining home games this season at Larges Lane, the home of Bracknell Town FC, as part of their groundsharing agreement with the Robins.
With the Satsumas forced to share Larges Lane next season if they win promotion to the Hellenic Premier Division, the league requires up to five games to be played at their proposed new home this season.
The games currently provisionally scheduled to be moved to Bracknell are the clashes with Rayners Lane (Tuesday, March 16), Eton Wick (Tuesday, March 30), Finchampstead (Saturday, April 3), Newbury (Wednesday, April 7) and Holyport (Tuesday, April 20).
Wanklyn said: "It's a league requirement that when you groundshare you have to play a certain number of games there the season before.
"We are aware the pitch isn't the best, but we are extremely grateful to Bracknell for being so co-operative and giving us the chance to go up next season."
