WENTWORTH golfer Seve Benson is set to make his debut for the English Amateur team.
Benson, 20, has been selected in the squad for an international clash with Spain at Royal Ashdown Forest on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13.
The Surrey based golfer is the only new cap in the England team, but was elevated to the squad after impressing during the Qatar Amateur Championship, which he won earlier this year.
This win gave Benson the opportunity to play in the Commercial-bank Qatar Masters on the PGA European Tour where he sensationally made the cut.
England has a superb record in their biennial matches with Spain that began in 1985.
They sported an unbeaten record until 2005 when the Spanish gained their first success by 15-8 Puerta de Hierro.
Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia have both played in the event.
