Former Reading CC stalwart Jones spent two seasons in charge of the Minor Counties outfit.
Jones, an ex-Berkshire player, helped the Royal County win the MCCA Knockout Trophy in 2013.
But Berks suffered a disappointing season in the Minor Counties Championship last year, leading to Jones quitting his post earlier this week.
In a message to the players, he said: “It is with much regret that I have to inform you that I will no longer be continuing as team manager.
“May I take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the last three years and wish you success in the future.” The former Berkshire and Reading fast bowler said he had enjoyed his time in the role, but did not want to go in detail as to why he had decided to stand down.
The duties will be shared by head coach Tom Lambert of Datchet CC and county secretary Roy New.
