THREE cricket-mad teachers were given a surprise when India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni visited their school yesterday (Monday).

The wicket-keeper batsman, whose side beat England to win the ICC Champions Trophy on Sunday, went to see the son of one of his friends at St John's Beaumont prep school, in Priest Hill, Egham.

He spent time talking to children and staff at the school during the afternoon.

Dhoni is the only person to captain his country to victory in all three major one-day tournaments - the World Cup, Champions Trophy and World T20 - and is one of the most high-profile figures in the sport.

He is pictured alongside teachers Patrick Hennessy, Matt Hopper and Philip Duncan.
