Bracknell boss David Tuttle admits his side are just playing for pride now following a disastrous Southern League campaign.

BRACKNELL Town boss David Tuttle has admitted he is finding it hard to keep going as the Robins' disastrous season limps to a conclusion.

The Robins are now relegation certainties after losing 30 of their 31 Southern League games this season and Tuttle conceded it is a difficult task to keep everyone at the club motivated over the final weeks of the campaign.

He said: "It's just getting boring now as the players are doing their best but we're still getting beaten.

"We're seeing the season out now with just pride to play for, although when you've lost 30 games out of 31 there's not much pride left.

"It's hard to keep going at times but the players are genuine and are working hard so we just have to see things through now until the end of the season.

"It's then down to the club to decide what they want to do in the summer, but I know that after one win in 26 games there could be changes."

Tuttle has been heartened by his side's recent displays which saw them score goals against Andover last weekend and slip to narrow defeats against Bedfont Green and Hungerford, but knows they face another tough double test over the the next week.

Bracknell travel to play-off chasing Mangotsfield this Saturday before entertaining North Leigh next Tuesday.

"The Hayes defeat (7-0) was a disaster but we have picked up a bit and improved, although we're still losing," he said.

"But the next week will be a big test for us as we're up against sides chasing the play-offs.

"That will show us whether our improvement has been down to the fact we've been playing mid-table teams who have nothing to play for and have taken their foot off the pedal, or whether we have genuinely picked up."
