AFTER seeing both of their fixtures postponed this week because of waterlogged pitches Bracknell Town have slipped even further behind in the race to beat the dreaded drop in Southern League One (S&W).

David Tuttle's Robins had been set to host Bishops Cleeve on Saturday before travelling to Uxbridge on Tuesday evening.

However both matches fell foul of the weather. And while the Robins were once again left frustrated by the elements, their nearest rivals took full advantage to compound their misery.

Taunton Town continued their resurgent form since beating Tuttle's side 10 days ago. Following a sensational 4-0 midweek win over Abingdon, they edged past play-off chasing Gosport Borough on Saturday to make it three wins on the bounce.

This has moved them well clear of the bottom two, leaving Bracknell 17 points from safety.

And then on Tuesday evening the Robins' hopes of moving away from the bottom of the table were given a further blow when AFC Hayes won 1-0 at Hungerford to move 10 points clear of Tuttle's side.

Weather permitting Town face another massive week as they travel to Gosport on Saturday before entertaining Hayes on Tuesday.
