Twinned towns unite

THE mayor and mayoress of one of Wokingham's twin towns were welcomed at a ceremony at the town hall.

The Mayor of Wokingham Town Council, Cllr UllaKarin Clark, greeted Dr Franz-Georg Rips and his wife Gerlinde, the Mayor and Mayoress of Erftstadt, near Cologne in eastern Germany.

Members of Wokingham Town Twinning Association and other local groups also attended the event at the town hall in Market Place on Tuesday last week.
