PATROLLING police officers arrested a man on suspicion of drug dealing after seeing him acting unusually.

PC Barry Johns, a neighbourhood specialist officer, and PC Nicky Hamblin, stopped the 31-year-old man in Langborough Road, Wokingham after seeing him throwing something while riding a bicycle at around 4pm on Monday.

PC Johns said: "It looked suspicious so we stopped the man and found him to be in possession of three wraps, which he claimed were heroin and crack cocaine, and a large amount of cash."

The officers arrested the man from south Emmbrook on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply them. He has been released on police bail until August 23, pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information about drug dealing can call Wokingham Neighbourhood Policing Team via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
