First will be a team from Southern Paranormal, a team of diverse people who share one passion - researching supernatural phenomena.
A team of 11 people will set up cameras in the Observer offices over the weekend as they try to identify any ghostly goings-on in the building. Elias Kupfermann, architectural historian and location researcher for Southern Paranormal, who works as a heritage consultant for Slough Museum said: 'This is a fascinating building with such a colourful past.
'I look forward to spending the night here to see what we might uncover.'
Investigators from the Ghost Club, the oldest organisation in the world associated with psychical research, will then carry out their own research of the site overnight next weekend.
A group of 12 investigators will use temperature gauges, night cameras and CCTV to see if they can find any proof of the paranormal kind. Monica Tandy, a member of the club which was established in 1862, said: 'It will be very interesting to see what we might discover in such an old and beautiful building.
We have been to many old, haunted sites over the years with intriguing results and we hope this visit will be the same.'
Both teams will carry out their research when the building is at its quietest, between 9pm and 4am.
The Observer will be running three weeks of features detailing the results from the investigations at the office and the outcome of the ghost hunt at the Ostrich Inn in Colnbrook on June 6.
