UPDATE: Horse show car parks re-open
CAR PARKS for Royal Windsor Horse Show have been re-opened this morning after being forced to close due to torrential rain.
The football and rugby pitches in Home Park, off the B470 King Edward VII Avenue, being used for visitor parking, were closed yesterday (Thursday) due to the ground being water-logged.
A spokeswoman for the show said all car parks are now open. This includes: car park P1, car park FWD, VIP and coach parking.
Organisers are encouraging visitors to travel to the show by public transport to avoid traffic congestion, with Windsor and Eton Riverside Station a five minutes walk, and Windsor Central a 10 minute walk from the showground.
