Woman in serious condition after crash

A WOMAN in her 20s is in a serious condition after her car collided with a concrete pillar and burst into flames.

Her silver Volkswagen polo left Windsor Road, Egham, at about 8.34pm last night (Tuesday) by the Magna Carta Tea Rooms.

Passers-by helped get the woman out of the car and she was taken first to St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey.

She has been transferred to St George's Hospital in Tooting, London where she remains in a serious condition.

Firefighters were there for two and a half hours.

Police want to trace the members of the public who helped the woman.
