Firefighters called to fuel spillage

POLICE closed part of a busy road while firefighters cleaned up a fuel spillage.

Firefighters from Egham station rushed to Stroude Road in Egham where a people carrier had started leaking fuel outside the Great Fosters Hotel at 9.05am today (Friday).

Firefighter Karl Jones said: "We raced to the scene to make it safe."

Firefighters were there for about an hour until the car was recovered.
