BMX bike displays, a comedy show and live music entertained shoppers in Bracknell town centre as part of a series of summer events.

Performers in Charles Square on Saturday included innovative dance group Kompany Malakhi, which combined "flatland" BMX spins and stunts, contemporary and breakdancing and parkour.

Helen Barnett, BRP's marketing manager, said: "It was a privilege to bring something as original and accomplished as Kompany Malakhi to the town centre. I was delighted to see so many people dancing to the band and having a giggle at the comedy stalls."

Entertainment was also provided by rock-a-billy and rock and roll band Dolly and the Clothes Pegs, plus the Bureau of Silly Ideas' custard pie-throwing stand and Dot Comedy's interactive jumble sale stall, "Carbootsale".

The fun is set to continue on Saturday, when the Azucar Morena Salsa Band will play a blend of bachata, merengue, bolero, mambo, cha cha, timba and salsa at 1.30pm and 2.20pm at the bandstand in Charles Square. See www.bracknell.com
