PINT-SIZED piglets are the must-have pets of the moment.

A farm in Windlesham has recently welcomed a new litter of the highly intelligent miniature pigs, which are so small they can fit inside a teacup.

Jane Goeritz, the owner of Woodland Farm and the tiny piglets, said: "There has been a real demand for the miniature pigs, they are the must-have craze, Charlotte Church and Jonathan Ross have one. They are highly intelligent and very playful and can be trained just like a dog can.

"They love to play with balls and sticks and they are grazers, not rooters, so they won't pull up plants in your garden."

The pigs, also known as micro pigs, start off very small but then grow to about the size of a labrador.

They also make great pets for people who tend to have dog or cat allergies and they also need less exercise than a dog because they have short legs.

Woodland Farm currently have three 12-week-old black piglets who are very tame and are ready to go to a good home. There are also six three-week old spotty piglets that will be ready to find a new home when they are eight weeks old.

Prices may vary.

Pigs are sociable animals and it is recommended they are kept in pairs. To find out more about the Woodland Farm pigs call Jane Goeritz on 01276 452669.
