A 19-YEAR-OLD woman was killed and three people hospitalised in a two car collision yesterday.

The woman, named locally as Angharad Clague, from Amen Corner, died in the crash between a Peugeot and a Ford Mondeo on the A494 road at Glanrafon near Corwen in Wales at 4.25pm.

Former Ranelagh pupil Angharad, known as Annie, was heavily involved in projects at Kerith Community Church in Church Road, Bracknell town centre.

Simon Benham, senior pastor at Kerith, wrote on his blog yesterday: "I got the devastating news tonight that Angharad Clague had been killed in a car crash. It's so hard to believe that she isn't with us any more - just writing this seems totally unreal.

"I'm so proud to be able to say that I knew her and that she was a part of our community - I'm going to miss her immensely and I know many of you will too."

Wales Ambulance Service said a man in his 20s suffering femur, pelvic and chest injuries was airlifted to Glan Clwyd Hospital.

The man, who was in the car with Annie at the time of the crash, has been named locally as Rory Allen and is believed to be in a critical but stable condition.

A 55-year-old woman with back, chest and abdominal injuries and a male with an injured pelvis were both taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital by ambulance.

The church is holding a prayer meeting at the Kerith Centre at 7.30pm tonight and everyone is welcome.

Tributes to Annie can be left below or please contact 01344 456 611 or email eharrison@berksmedia.co.uk
