Carla Kyle with her horse Egg
AS horses and their riders prepare for a charity ride, one Ascot resident and her four footed friend are looking forward to the day.
Carla Kyle, wife of TV chat show host, Jeremy Kyle, is getting ready to saddle up her beloved horse Egg for the Horses for Heroes ride tomorrow (Saturday) which will raise money for military charity Help for Heroes.
Mrs Kyle, who lives in Ascot with her husband and three children, said: "This is a great charity and I think it's really important to raise money and awareness for the men and women who are putting their lives on the line.
"The ride is right on my doorstep and I ride in the Windsor Great Park so I thought why not raise money for charity while doing what I love."
An avid horse rider, Mrs Kyle will join 700 riders at Ascot Racecourse for the ride that will go into Windsor Great Park, past the Jubliee statue and finish by crossing the famous winning posts on the racecourse.
Mrs Kyle added: "I am looking forward to going past the finishing line the most. Jeremy and I are huge racing fans and it will be an amazing opportunity."
Jeremy Kyle and the couples children will be at the ride to support Mrs Kyle and her dark bay part bred Arab, Egg, whose full name is the more lyrical Stockley Concerto, as they set out from the racecourse at about 12noon for the 8.5 mile ride.
Mrs Kyle is hoping to raise £2,000 for the charity which helps injured service men and women and is just over half way to her target.
The Horses for Heroes ride will take place on Saturday June 10 and will be officially opened by sports commentator Clare Balding in the morning.
It will include a horse and trap ride which starts at 7.30am before regular riders begin the trip at 8am.
