THE worried children of a missing man have embarked on a nationwide search for their dad.

The family and friends of Patrick Davies, who has been missing for more than two weeks, have visited places in the UK that the 62-year-old has connections with to put up posters and raise the profile of the search.

Mr Davies, pictured, from Bullbrook, was also featured on BBC1 programme Missing Live on Tuesday.

Daughter, Julia Davies, said: "We have put posters up in areas where he has family connections, just in case he has travelled back.

"Dad was born in Dulwich and he is a big Fulham supporter so we have put posters up in these areas.

"As a family we have been doing as much as we can. We cannot think of anywhere else that he has connections with and we have no other plans to put up posters at the moment."

The family, including Mr Davies' other children Andrew and Sarah, and friends have also visited Romsey, Christchurch and Muddyford with posters. Ms Davies added: "If anyone has seen dad, please contact us or if dad himself can contact us.

"We just want to know he is safe and well, if he phoned us that would be fantastic."

Berkshire-based charities SEBEV Search and Rescue and Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs searched large areas of dense woodland close to Mr Davies' home address on Thursday, March 4.

Both teams, made up of trained searchers and search and rescue dogs, began the search at 7pm and finished at 10.30pm with no trace of Mr Davies having been found.

Mr Davies, 62, of Bullbrook, was last seen by a friend who dropped him off at his home in Foresters Square late on Tuesday, March 2 after watching a football match at the Emirates Stadium in London.

He is white, 5ft 9ins and slim, with blue eyes and brown hair that is starting to go grey and recede.

He was last seen wearing jeans, a jumper and a red and black Bournemouth football scarf.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 0845 8 505 505, quoting reference number MP/01225/2010 or URN 1472 3/3/10.
