HANDY: Gabriella Hassell, seven, with Trevor Smith - Royal Borough senior ranger
DO it yourself was the theme of a half-term workshop.
Youngsters, with their mums, dads and grandparents took part in a bird box making session at Sunningdale Village Hall.
Around 25 people made nesting boxes for bluetits as part of a joint partnership between the Royal Borough rangers and the RSPB. Jason Mills, a Royal Borough ranger, said: "Everyone had lots of fun and it was very noisy with the banging of the hammers.
"There was a lot of enthusiasm in the room!"
The session was held to tie in with the British Trust for Ornithology's National Nestbox Week.
The group were also given a talk on the importance of bird boxes in nature reserves and gardens.
