Champ's welcome: James Haskell with head boy Tom Harrison and captain of rugby Clark Thorley, both 13

AN ENGLAND rugby star returned to his routes to give a gift to his old school.

Taking a break from preparation for Saturday's Six Nations Match against Scotland, James Haskell dropped in on Papplewick School, Ascot, on Wednesday.

On arrival he presented the awestruck pupils with a signed England jersey that he wore in the tournament before taking questions from the eager crowd.

Headteacher Tom Bunbury said: "It's a great honour to have James here with us."
