POLICE are still trying to trace a driver who may have seen a fatal car crash in Binfield.

Kyle McCants, 21, from the village, was killed when the red Alfa Romeo 147 that he was passenger in hit a telegraph pole in the B3034 Forest Road near Wyevale Garden Centre at 12.20am on Monday, February 15.

Police particularly want to speak to the 40-50-year-old white male driver with fair hair and glasses who stopped at the scene and helped provide light.

He drove a black old-style Ford Focus or similar vehicle and was accompanied by a younger woman with shoulder length blonde hair in the front passenger seat and two or three children in the back.

Anyone with any information or who saw the crash is asked to contact PC 5269 Jon Conning of Gerrards Cross Roads Policing base via 0845 8 505 505, quoting URN 21 15/2/10. Alternatively, call charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The 26-year-old man driving the Alfa Romeo has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on bail.
