School places decided

PARENTS have found out this week whether their child has got into their first choice of school.

For some who got letters yesterday, it meant an anxious wait was over but for others the decision has meant heart-ache because siblings have been split up or children will have to travel further from home.

Statistics showing how many children from each local authority got their first choice are due to be released next week.

  Come along to the public meeting of the Bracknell forest admissions forum next Tuesday 9th march at 5.30pm at easthampstead house in Bracknell. To be held on the 5th floor council chamber. This where the recommendations on the proposed changes to admissions for 2011/2012 and the public consultation will be put forward to the executive committee. Will they uphold a change to siblings rules? Will they go ahead and abolish the social medical need criteria? Or was this just put in to hide a "no change" to siblings? Were embers park residents happy with the change to the catchmemt secondary school to EP? Come align with a group of parents who care and find out for yourself!
