A 31-year-old woman has died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.

She has been named as Katie Haines, a newly-wed press officer at Oxford University, who was rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading but later died.

Three other people in the house in Barkham Road, Wokingham were also taken to hospital.

Firefighters from Wokingham Road and Bracknell and police were called to the property at around 8.30pm yesterday (18) after reports of a gas leak.

Laura Deane, of Thames Valley Police, said: "We are treating the death as unexplained and are working with other agencies to establish the circumstances around the death."
