THERE is more on offer for young people than ever before as two new youth clubs open.
Young people in Arborfield and Barkham are being offered exciting activities ranging from movie nights to discos and arts and crafts to photography, plus many more.
Membership of either youth club costs £2 per year, plus the first visit is free and then it costs £1 per week.
Louise Morris, neighbourhood youth worker, said: "Every year we try to offer a new range of activities for young people.
"With both clubs now accepting new members, we hope more young people will join the clubs this year and get involved in some of the many activities and projects that run on a weekly basis.
"If you are a young person and are looking for something to do on Thursday or Friday evenings - why not come along to one of the sessions and see for yourself what's on offer?"
Located in Swallowfield Road, Arborfield Youth Club is open every Thursday from 7-9pm to teenagers from 13-19-years-old. On Fridays, youngsters from 11-14-years-old can head to Barkham Youth club at Barkham Village Hall from 6.30-9pm.
Cllr Rob Stanton, executive member for children's services, said: "Barkham and Arborfield youth clubs need you! Both are currently accepting new members and what better places for local young people to meet up, socialise and try new activities.
"By joining a youth club, it can lead young people to have a bigger role and impact on their local community. Don't delay - join today - you don't know what you are missing out on."
