A FORMER post mistress has added another string to her bow by opening a beauty salon.

Neelam Kapoor and her husband Ray owned the post office in South Ascot before being forced to close by Post Office Ltd.

The couple has since turned the building into a bustling bakery, known as Swinley Stores, with freshly baked bread, pastries and cakes.

But now Mrs Kapoor has opened Pure Divine, also in Brockenhurst Road, South Ascot, as a new business venture.

The salon was officially launched on Saturday, May 30, with a helping hand from comedian and TV personality Tom O"Connor. Mrs Kapoor said: 'The opening went really well although we were a bit quiet because of the FA Cup final.

'In some ways I"m glad we didn"t have too many customers because we had more room to carry out demonstrations.'

Beauty therapists gave demonstrations including reiki, threading and facials, which proved to be very popular with the visiting customers.

Mrs Kapoor added: 'All the customers loved the treatments, in particular the facials.

'We had a lot of positive response. So much so that we took quite a number of bookings for people to come in on a regular basis.'

The salon also provides sculpture nails which enhance people"s natural nails and is offering OAPs a 20% discount on all services and students 10% off.
