With Royal Ascot just around the corner most people will have sorted their perfect outfit for the event. For those who are undecided, Virginia Water-based personal stylist Jasmine Sekhon exclusively gives Lauren Everitt the low down on what is in fashion this year.

In order to look stylish and sophisticated whilst sipping on your champagne, you must think carefully about your entire outfit. The high street has some amazing pieces and this season"s trends are bold prints and bright colours, including yellows and hot pinks.

Bows have been a hit for the 09 summer season, as seen on the Dolce & Gabbana, YSL and Chloe fashion shows.

There are some amazing hats and fascinators around but if you are not sure where to start in this area, then take a look at the colours and fabric designs of your outfit. If you are wearing something with a bold print, then go for a hat or fascinator that is simple and smart.

This month Peter Jones, the Sloane Square branch of the John Lewis department store, has launched an exclusive new hat-loaning service.

For the men attending Royal Ascot, if you are on a budget, your suit and top hat can be hired from Moss at reasonable prices.

Ladies, if you have a strapless dress and are in the Royal Enclosure, you will need to cover your shoulders.
