MORE than 70 organisations are taking part in a large careers fair to help young people looking for a job or training today (Wednesday).

Youngsters and their parents are being invited to attend the free event.

As well as a chance to meet representatives from companies, education establishments and the public services, they can also receive free one-to-one instruction on CV writing or interview technique at the Bracknell Forest Careers Event, which must be booked in advance.

The open event will run from 5-8pm today (Wednesday) at The Capitol Building (formerly Siemens) in Oldbury, off Mill Lane, Bracknell, in the Southern Industrial Area.

It is being organised by the Bracknell Forest Partnership, made up of representatives from the public and private sector in the borough.

Year 11 pupils from schools in the Bracknell area will attend earlier in the day but these sessions are not open to anyone else.

The careers fair is sponsored by Sainsbury's, ITM Ltd, the Capitol Building, the First transport group and Berkshire Media Group, publisher of the News, which has designed the website for the event.

To book either a CV writing or interview technique workshop, book in advance via the careers fair website, www.bfcareers.co.uk
