A FIRE in the toilets at a recreation ground pavilion is thought to have been started deliberately.

The blaze started between noon-12.15pm yesterday (Wednesday) in the men’s toilets at the pavilion in Great Hollands Recreation Ground off South Road.

Police said in a statement: “Extensive smoke damage was caused to the toilets, but no-one was injured in the blaze. The incident is being treated as arson.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Richard Probert, neighbourhood officer for Great Hollands, on 0845 8 505 505, or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
