TWO lucky youngsters still have the chance to star in a short film written by Four Weddings And A Funeral screenwriter Richard Curtis.

Bracknell-based performing arts school and agency Artemis Studio has been asked to provide young actors to be extras in a short film for the 10:10 campaign for people to reduce their carbon emissions by 10% in 2010.

Twenty-two youngsters from Bracknell and Wokingham have already been signed up by Artemis for the film but it still needs two boys, both non-white and aged 10-12.

Gemah Allen, office manager at Artemis Studios, which runs classes in drama, dancing, singing and other aspects of performance for people aged three upwards, said: “It’s quite exciting because they get to be part of a professional production, which some of them have never done before.

“Acting experience would be helpful but it’s not essential. It’s set in a school so the idea is that the children just have to act as children. Some of them might be in a classroom, some of them will be walking around.

“We can’t say who the main character is but he’s a very well-known actor.”

A coach will be provided to take youngsters up to Camden High School for Girls in London on Friday next week for the filming, which the children will not be paid for because it is for charity.

Anyone interested in the film can contact Artemis Studios in Charles Square in Bracknell town centre on 01344 429403.
