SMOKE started coming from an lamppost that is thought to have overheated.

A member of the public called the fire brigade after spotting the smoke at around 8.30pm yesterday (Thursday) in Keepers Coombe, Crown Wood.

Firefighter Lee Hancock, from Bracknell fire station, said: “It was just internal so it had probably overheated. It was out when got there so we just cordoned it off and waited for the arrival of the electricity board.”
